Linda Mallory Gunn

Linda Mallory Gunn, 73, of Dinwiddie, VA, died September 16, 2022. She was raised in Colonial Heights, VA. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Ella Mallory. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sibling. She was a graduate of Colonial Heights High School and had the honor of raising her four children. She enjoyed gardening, painting, decorating for every holiday, bowling, and fishing. She was a member of the Fun Bunch Red Hats and enjoyed playing games and friends. She dedicated her life to supporting her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gunn was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Lee, Robert James, and Ricky Lee Mallory. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Douglas "Mac" Gunn; sons, Michael (Kim), Mark, David (Sarah) Gunn; and daughter, Cathy Wells. She had eleven grandchildren, Andrew & Aaron Gunn, Sierra & Ava Haun, Kristin Salim, Erika & Alyssa Gunn, Kevin & Ryan Gunn, Dylan & Haley Wells; and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four siblings, Delores (Carlton) Daulton, Janice (John) Gunn, Carol Nelson, and Shirley (Troy) Modlin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at J.T. Morriss & Son - Dinwiddie from 6-8 pm. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Southlawn Cemetery in Petersburg, VA. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your favorite charity.
