Linda A. Harris

Linda A. Harris, 65, of S. Prince George, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. She was preceded in death by her father, John Bryant; sister, Debbie Bryant Walker; grandparents, Ben and Martha Carsley. Linda graduated from Petersburg High School in 1970. She began her work career at Titmus Optical and took a job with Petersburg Public Library. Linda then started to transition into a caregiver role that she was very passionate about. She was employed with John Randolph Medical Center Nursing Home, May Fair House, and worked as a home care aide. She most recently served as caregiver for her mother. Linda is survived by her husband of 21 years, Willie Harris; children, Daphne Atkinson, Barbara Harris, and Dwayne Harris; grandchildren: twins, Eric and Gary Dillenbeck, Gabrielle Dillenbeck, Scotty Harris, Andrew Harris, Vicky Harris, Amanda Harris, Christopher Harris, and Cody Marshall; great-grandchildren, Mason Atkinson, Axel Tanner, and Leah Reeves; mother, Elva Carsley; brother, Robert Bryant (Janna); nieces, Laney Bryant and Lisa Akers; and nephew, Scott Bryant. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
