Linda Diane Phipps

Linda Diane Phipps, 69, of Colonial Heights, VA passed away unexpectedly on October 17, 2021. Linda was born on May 27, 1952 in Detroit, MI, but called Denison, TX home. Linda was a current employee of Anthem, Inc. Insurance in Richmond, VA. Linda was the daughter of the late Albert Gregory and Nora Louise Yert. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Sanda Yert, Roxanne Sweet; and brother, Albert Yert. She is survived by her son, Jason Kenneth Johnson (Becky) of Roanoke Rapids, NC; and daughter, Misty Johnson Pearson (Frank) of South Chesterfield, VA; grandchildren, Caleb Johnson, Logan Johnson, Kamryn Johnson, Dustin Wilson, Braxton Roberson, and Kaylee Barrett of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and Austin “Trey” Pearson of South Chesterfield, VA; loving sister, Becky Yert of Cedar Rapids, IA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that she loved dearly. Linda moved to Virginia from Texas in 2018 to be closer to her children and grandchildren. If you ever had the pleasure of knowing Linda you know she proudly lived her life for her children, grandchildren, and grand dogs. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2021 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with her nephew, Jeramie Sweet of Savoy Church of Christ in Savoy, TX, officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 2901 W. Hundred Rd.
