Linda Travis Puckett

Linda Travis Puckett, 63, of Chesterfield, Virginia, died on December 28, 2024. Born and raised in Colonial Heights, Virginia, she was the daughter of June Travis Williams and the late Ollie Freeman Travis. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, friend, and teacher. She dedicated over 20 years to childcare and early childhood education, as a teacher, at Ironbridge Community Christian School. She also served her community as an Officer of Election, in Chesterfield County, for several years. Linda loved going to the beach, caring for her pets, and getting caught up in a good mystery movie. More than anything, she loved her children and spending time with them, from memorable trips to the Virgin Islands to local lunches at her favorite restaurants.

Linda is preceded in death by her father, Ollie; brother, Ernest Dale Travis; husband, Thomas Lee Puckett; and step-father, Sidney Earl Williams. She is survived by her mother, June; son, Travis Lee Puckett; daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Puckett and her husband, Timothy John Kubichek; half-brother, Donald Wayne Travis and his wife, Rhonda; as well as, several loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, January 6, 2025, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service, starting at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local SPCA or Humane Society in memory of Linda.
