Linda Gail Robinette

May 1, 1949 — September 11, 2021

Linda Gail Robinette, 72, of Alexandria, VA died on September 11, 2021. Linda was born on May 1, 1949, in Bluefield, WV. She was preceded in death by her father, Byron Wheeler Robinette; brother, Charles Irvin Robinette; and sister Jeanette Ilene Robinette. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Lamm Robinette of Prince George, VA; son Bobby James (Lanie) of Ashburn, VA; daughter, Wendy James Richards (Adam) of Canfield, OH; daughter Amy James Joynt (Rob) of Henrico, VA; grandchildren, Addison, Jake, Ali, Claire, Ethan, Becket, Ellie, Ben and Isaac, as well as her brothers; Byron Wayne (Marily) of Yorba Linda, CA and Kelly (Lisa) of South Chesterfield, VA as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins who were very dear to her. She was a loving daughter and sister, and the most amazing mother and grandmother, affectionately called “Raool” and “Bamma Linda” by her grandchildren. She was a graduate of Hopewell High School and worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She enjoyed golfing, skiing, tennis, ceramics, knitting, making Christmas tree angel ornaments, as well as other crafts, singing and watching sports. But above all else she loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, and her family. She lit up every room she was in with her big smile, tight hugs, and infectious laugh. She made every person she met feel special and held nothing back. She loved with her whole heart and was always encouraging others with her free expression of how she felt about them.
