Linda Perkins Ruffa

Linda Perkins Ruffa, 68, of Colonial Heights, VA passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021. Born in Petersburg, VA she was the daughter of the late Thomas D. Perkins, Jr. and Mary Ann Avery Major; and was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. James L. Ruffa. Mrs. Ruffa was a retired Educator from the Prince George Public Schools System after many dedicated years of service; and was also a long-time member of Highland United Methodist Church in Colonial Heights. She is survived by her son, James L. Ruffa, II and wife, Kelly; a daughter, Elisabeth Ruffa Clement; three grandchildren, Steven, Caelyn and Hailey; her siblings, Kathryn Thompson, Thomas D. Perkins, III, Michael Perkins and David Perkins; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A private interment will be held in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA.
