Linda Hudson Stokes

Linda Hudson Stokes, 78, of Hopewell, VA passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021. Born in Hopewell, VA she was the daughter of the late William Edward Hudson, Jr. and Selma Lee Hendrix Hudson. Mrs. Stokes was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Hopewell, VA. She is survived by her loving husband, of 56 years, Douglas Stokes; two children, Berkley Stokes and wife, Teja and Valerie Claud and husband, Mike; four grandchildren, Bronwyn Stokes, Haydn Claud, Camryn Claud and Walker Stokes; a sister, Diana Tidwell; two brothers, William Hudson, III and wife, Brenda and Steven Hudson; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April, 7, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Hopewell, VA with the Rev. Darrell Boggs, officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
