Lindall E. Downey, 67, of Prince George, VA passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. He was born on November 2, 1952 in Petersburg, VA and was the son of the late Bertha Peters and Zebulon Downey; and was also preceded in death by his step-father, Lawrence Peters; and a brother, Bert Downey, Sr. Mr. Downey loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a lover of all sports and some of his favorite teams were the New York Yankees and whoever was playing the Redskins and the Cowboys. He loved wrestling, going to Carr Brothers for Karaoke and loved all types of music. While he liked all music, his favorite song was My Way by Elvis and his two favorite colors were Teal and Orange. Mr. Downey loved to scream at the tv while watching his favorite show, Law and Order. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Downey; three children, Christina McCoy, Felicia Downey and Shawn Downey; six grandchildren, Mark Summerfield, Jr., Christopher Slaughter, Jr., Jonathan Summerfield, Bryonnah Slaughter, Ayden Oden and Makenna Videtto; four siblings, Brenda, Kevin (Sandy), Tamara (LV) and Darryl (Vanessa); and several nieces and nephews. J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Dad was a character, and a jokester who is truly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
