Lois Elizabeth Biggs

November 23, 1923 — April 7, 2013

Lois Elizabeth Biggs, 89, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013. Born in Petersburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Earnest and Myrtle Wilkerson. She is also predeceased by her daughter, Carol Biggs Haynes; and two sisters, Hazel Young and Katherine King. Lois was a proud life long member of Second Baptist Church. Many knew her from working at Miller and Rhodes Department Store in Petersburg. She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, John Harden Biggs; daughter, Bonnie Davis and her husband Danny; three grandchildren, Jennifer Capps and her husband, Brandon, Ty Haynes and his Fiancée, Melissa, and Christopher Davis and his wife, Allison; six great-grandchildren, Kayla, Caden, Ella Marie, Colby, Conner, and Collins; and her church family. The family would like to give special thanks to Leigh, Michelle, and Quine of Southside Regional Medical Center, Odyssey Hospice, and the Dunlop House Staff. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Friday, April 12, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Blandford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be donated to Second Baptist Church, 3355 Johnson Rd., Petersburg, VA 23805. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com
