Lois Vaughan Jones, 84, departed to forever reside with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 5, 2006
She died after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was a loving wife and mother and touched the lives of many people. Lois was born and raised in Petersburg, Virginia, where she spent most of her life. She was retired from Long Manufacturing Company in Petersburg, Virginia. Lois and her daughter Linda moved to Pensacola in 1986 to join her son Steve, who also resides here in Pensacola.
Lois is the widow of the late Clyde Alexander Jones, of Petersburg, Virginia.
Lois is preceded in death by her mother and father, Lula & Edward Vaughan, also of Petersburg, Virginia.
She is survived by her son, Barry Steven Jones, and a daughter, Linda Jones Anderson, and a loving daughter-in-law, Page Jones, and two precious granddaughters, Tiffaney Jones and Anna Jones, all of Pensacola, Fl. Many precious memories will be cherished by her children and grandchildren.
Lois was a Godly woman and mother and was adored by her children.
She was a member of Fairfield Presbyterian Church, PCA, where visitation and services were held.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 1:00 pm in Sunset Memorial Park. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Condolences may be registered at
