Lois Nixon Pettway

Lois Nixon Pettway, 81, a lifelong resident of Petersburg, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014. She was a lifelong member of West End Baptist Church and retired after 32 years of Civil Service at Fort Lee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Franklin and Katherine Hobbs Pettway, and her siblings, Mary Elizabeth Duell, Edward F. Pettway and Hazel P. Herr. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, at West End Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Brendle officiating.
