Lola Sue Coleman, 87, of Waynesboro ,Virginia died Thursday, June 17, 2004.. She was born in Ivanhoe, Va. and was a former resident of Hopewell. Mrs. Coleman was the Owner and Operator of the Coleman Cab Company in Hopewell for many years before moving to Waynesboro in 1984. She was also employed at Leggett Department Store during the 1950’s and 1960’s. Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Ida Hurst Worrell, her husband, Spurgeon “Skinny” Coleman, a son, Neil Coleman and a sister, Gladys Byrd. Surviving are her son, Ronald E. Coleman and wife Carole of Timonium, MD., three grandchildren, Michael Coleman and Glen Coleman both of Springdale, AK., Pamela Hahn of Ozark, AL., a daughter-in-law Shirley Coleman of Chester,Va. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, June 20, 2004 from 2-3:30 PM at the Hopewell chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 9:00 AM in the Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Kelley John Hepler, pastor of Hebron Baptist Church, Southampton Co. officiating.
