Loraine Saunders

Loraine Wood Saunders, 83, of Hopewell, died Monday, February 14, 2011, at her residence. She was born in Earlysville, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Edna Talbert and Byrd Talbert. Mrs. Saunders, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Hopewell Church of the Brethren, also enjoyed painting and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Saunders and a sister, Mildred King. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy S. Sinclair & husband C.B, a son, Ted Grayson Saunders & wife Susie, granddaughter Emily Saunders Irby & husband, Kevin, great-grandsons Kolby & Colton Irby, brother-in-law George King, sister Alice Lassiter & husband, James and two nephews, other family and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 17, 2011, from 12:30 â?? 1:30 p.m. in the Hopewell chapel of J.T Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held in the chapel following the visitation. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George.
