Loraine Vaughan

Loraine M. Vaughan, 97, of Petersburg, Virginia, passed on July 27, 2024. She was married to the late Gordon E. Vaughan, Sr. for 67 years. Preceded in death by her parents, McKenley and Paulene Moody; her brothers, Tom and Joe Moody; sisters, Lilly Rinker and Jean Elder; daughter, Jacqueline V. Crewey; and grandson, Gordon E. Vaughan III.
She is survived by a son, Gordon E. Vaughan, Jr. (Irma); daughter, Linda Connor; and son, E.C. Vaughan (Wendy); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
We would like to thank the staff of Brighter Living for taking such good care of her, and all of her friends, especially Loretta, and the employees of hospice.
Family night will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Southlawn Memorial Park. The service will be officiated by Reverend Brian Harrison.
