Loretta Johnson Hargrave Crutchfield Boyd

Loretta Johnson Hargrave Crutchfield Boyd was a loving, loyal, hard-working mother and grandmother. She was full of life and spirit and loved God and her preacher, Ron Talley at Hyles Baptist Church. Everyone that knew her was affected by her tenacious energy and strong will. She left behind an everlasting legacy of humility, independence, and her love for bingo for her children, grandchildren, and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her 3 husbands: Lewis Hargrave, Roy Lee Crutchfield, and Lloyd Allen Boyd; and her daughter, Edith H. Clarke. Including her parents, James and Sally Johnson, and her 4 sisters, whom she will be meeting at the gates of Heaven. She is survived by her son, Billy Boyd; daughters, Judy Jenkins, Carolyn Daugherty and husband, Russell Daugherty, Bonnie Boyd, Terri Woodfin, and Christina Maybush. Surviving sisters are Martha Boone and Louise McLaughin; in addition she is survived by 12 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren; as well as her dear friends, Mildred Abernathy, Ginger McCulley, and Beverly Warren. The viewing will be held at Hyles Baptist Church, 7220 Courthouse Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2014. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Hyles Baptist Church. Graveside service will be held in Roanoke Rapids, NC at 2:00 p.m. at Cedarwood Cemetery on Friday.
