Lori Akin Clapp

Lori Akin Clapp, 69, of Hopewell, Virginia, departed this life and went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2024. Lori was born on April 16, 1955, the daughter of the late Stanley Morris and Constance Arlene Akin, of Chester, Virginia.

Lori is survived by her brother, Mark Kevin Akin, of Wilmington, North Carolina. Lori was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Reverend Gary Morris Akin, both of Chester, Virginia.

A graveside ceremony will be held at Blandford Cemetery, Thursday October 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family would request that contributions be made to charity of your choice in her honor.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Wanda Bishop, Susan Compton, Ivan Slayden, Wayne Slayden, and their families, for their loving support of Lori during the end of her final journey.
