Louis M. Merhout Jr.

Louis Matthew Merhout, Jr., 71, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. Born in Petersburg, VA, he was the son of the late Louis and Josephine Merhout. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Merhout; two daughters, JoAnne Cole and her husband, Paul, Renee Smith and her husband, Jeffery; son, Paul Merhout; grandchildren, Matthew Cole, Rachel Smith, and Noah Smith; brother, William Merhout; step-father, Alfred Sabine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Petersburg. The family will receive friends for 30 minutes prior to the Mass. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 8520 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32221.
