Louis "Peewee" Warren Powers, Sr.

Louis “PeeWee” Warren Powers, Sr. 79, of Chester, VA passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019. Born in Dundus, VA on September 22, 1939 he was the son of the late Robert Emory and Ruth Daniels Powers; he is also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Powers of 59 years; brothers, Thomas Powers, Lee Powers and D.W. Powers; sisters, Shelby Jean Powers and Gladys House; Mr. Powers was a long-time faithful member of Hyles Baptist Church in Chesterfield, VA. He is survived by his four children, Warren Powers, Jr. (Sabrina), Chris Powers (Christi), Shelby King, and Mike Powers (Beth); six grandchildren, Jennifer, Hillary (Caleb), Samantha (Blake), April, Caroline and Corey; three sisters, Doris Carter, Carolyn Chavis, and Ann Cliborne; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2019, at Hyles Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Talley, officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Crestview Memorial Park, La Crosse, VA. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at the Chester Chapel of J.T.
