Louise M Conover

Louise May Minor Conover, 95, of Hopewell, VA, died Friday, April 12, 2024. She was born on May 6, 1928, in Prince George County, VA, the daughter of the late Charles Paul and Anna Martin Minor. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, John Hibbard Conover, Jr. and her brothers, Charles Paul Minor, Jr., George Bernard Minor, and William Daniel Minor, Sr. She graduated from Hopewell High School in 1945 and began working for the U.S. Government at what was then Camp Lee, retiring in 1983 as a Management Analyst. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hopewell. She enjoyed flower gardening, sewing clothes, quilting, cross stitching, and creating and selling wood crafts. She and John loved traveling in their RV around the country and enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida. Mrs. Conover is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Conover Foxworth (Dennis) of Hopewell; sons John Kenneth Conover (Lynda) of Scaly Mountain, NC, and Thomas Paul Conover (Leona) of Las Vegas, NV; granddaughters, Janel Foxworth English (Chris) and Megan Foxworth Andrewski (Stan); step-grandsons, Tommy Meadows (Melody) and Brian Meadows (Angela); great-grandchildren, Coby Andrewski, Kristen English, Trevor Andrewski, Grant English, and Caralyne Andrewski; and step-great grandchildren, Joseph Meadows and Cooper Meadows. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss Funeral Home followed by internment at the Appomattox Cemetery.
