Louise Mayer Harville

Louise M. Harville, 86, of Petersburg, VA, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019. Born in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late Philip E. Mayer, Sr. and Helen White Mayer. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Charles G. Harville and a brother, Philip E. Mayer, Jr. Mrs. Harville served as a youth Sunday school teacher and pianist at Monumental Baptist Church in Petersburg as well as pianist at Oakland Baptist Church in Prince George. She loved time spent with her family, and enjoyed planting flowers and feeding the birds. She is survived by her four children, C. Thomas Harville (Cindy) of Sutherland, J. Mark Harville (Sandra) of Dinwiddie, Timothy E. Harville (Joyce) of Church Road, and Denise H. Barbini (Julian) of Dinwiddie, as well as eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2019 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Oakland Baptist Church with Pastor Lee Woodcock and Rev. Joyce Harville officiating. Interment will be private.
