Lovelace Joel Conner

Lovelace Joel Conner, 64, of Sutherland, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Born in Halifax County, he was the son of the late Lovelace Vaughan Conner and Mary Inez Francis Conner. He was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Randy Arno.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lyl Conner; children, Lindsay Harvey, Zachary Conner, Andrey Radyev, and Lidia Radyev; grandchildren, Connor, Bryna, Aubree, Jayce, Brayden, Emma, and Timothy; sister, Myra Conner Arno; and nieces, Shannon Conner and Kami Scruggs.
Lovelace Joel Conner was employed with Kroger as store manager, retiring after many dedicated years. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting with his father and taking his boat out to Buggs Island for some fishing. Lovelace enjoyed working with his hands and could build and repair anything with his favorite tools. He also had a passion for music and loved to play his guitar and sing to his wife, Lyl. He will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 24, 2021 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 103 S. Adams St. Petersburg, VA 23803. Interment will take place at Forest Hills Memory Gardens, Danville, VA at a later date. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
