Lucille Gill

Lucille Poole Gill age 92 of Stony Creek passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2004. She was the daughter of the late Rufus Bernard Poole and Mattie Easter Poole and was the widow of John S. Gill. She is survived by four daughters, Ann Gill Taylor and her husband Alton of Charlottesville, Joan Gill Daniel and her husband Robert of Chester, Bettie Gill Gerardi and her husband Brooks of Port St. Lucie, FL and Carol Gill Waters and her husband Fred of Chester; seven grandchildren, Cindi Hayes Dickerson, Walter Holdsworth, Jr., Lori Daniel Rowland, Craig Waters, Shannon Taylor, Todd Daniel and Holly Waters Bise; 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Virginia Poole Poarch of Stony Creek, Mary Ann Poole Hoverstock of Carson and Barbara Poole Burnette of Stony Creek; a sister-in-law, Edith W. Poole of Emporia. Mrs. Gill was preceded in death by a son, Bernice K. Hayes, a grandson, Hunter Page Taylor and a brother, Wilbur R. Poole, Sr. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. Wednesday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home where funeral services will be held on 1:00 P.M. Thursday with The Rev. James Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
