Lucille Edna Martin

Lucille Edna Martin, 104, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Hattie Stubbs Prevatte; and husband Johnny R. Martin. Mrs. Martin worked alongside her son for many years at Lighthouse Furniture & Appliance Inc., and during WWII she worked as a crane operator at the local shipyard. She is survived by son, James Earl Gattis and wife, Allena; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, April 11, 2016 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
