Lucille Virginia Potter

April 30, 1951 — February 25, 2018

Lucille Virginia Potter, 66, of Prince George, VA passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018. Born in Richmond, VA she was the daughter of the late Ollie Nathaniel and Frances Wilson Perkinson; and was also preceded in death by a brother, David Nathaniel Perksinson; and her sister, Phyllis Perkinson Colvin. Mrs. Potter retired from Philip Morris after 25 plus years of service, and was a member of New Jerusalem Church in Prince George. She had a love for life, a passion for taking care of people and was affectionately known to many people as “Momma”. Mrs. Potter is survived by her husband on 11 years, John Potter, Jr.; three children, Robbie Brown, Jr., John Potter, III and wife, Christina, and Elizabeth Potter; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 at New Jerusalem Church with the Rev. Roger Dean, officiating. Interment will be private. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Mrs. Potter.
