Lucille Tatum

LUCILLE CHILDRESS TATUM, age 88, a resident of Newville Road, Waverly VA died Sunday August 5, 2007 at Waverly HealthCare Center. Born Feb. 28, 1919 in Richmond, she was daughter of the late Charles R. & Grace Otelia Johns Childress. She was a member of the Newville Baptist Church, Waverly and was the widow of John A. Tatum.
She is survived by two sons, Richard A. Tatum and his wife Susan of Prince George and Bob Owen and his wife Katie of Chester; a sister, Thelma Bohatec of Sussex; two grandchildren, Melissa & Stephanie Tatum of Prince George and Mike Owen of Virginia Beach; a great granddaughter, Sydney M. Owen of Virginia Beach; a step grandson, Brian Cooper and a step great grandson, Bradley Cooper both of Prince George; a sister-in-law, Carrie Walker of Williamsburg and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Bobby Owen.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 10:00 AM in Newville Baptist Church, Waverly with the Rev. Randy Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in Waverly Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Purviance Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Wakefield on Monday evening from 6:00 â?? 8:00 PM.
