Lula Anne Rawes

Lula C. Rawes, 81, of Chester passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019.
Born in Tippah County, MS, to the late John and Maudie Childs.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Rawes; son, Jeff (Heather) Rawes; daughter, Candace Banton (Terry Sullivan); grandchildren, Will and Emily Rawes, Chelsea, Cole and Collins Netzley; brothers, Jimmy Childs (Pattie) and John Childs (Bobbie); sisters, Geraldine Mills, Louise Jeanes, Brenda Jeanes, Shelby Harrison; uncles, Harrison Childs, Rayburn Childs (Glendia) and Jack Eubanks; aunts, Martha “Tanner” Perkins, Janet Childs, Maudie Richardson (Rayburn); brothers-in-law, William Abondroth (Jean), Ronald Rawes, George Rawes (Claudia), Frank Rawes (Linda), Richard Augustine and Joseph Augustine (Holly).
Lula graduated with honors from John Tyler Community College with an Associate’s degree in Computer Sciences. She enjoyed a successful career with Computer Science Corporation.
A funeral service will be held, 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 2019, at J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 West Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
