Lurlie Annette Jackson

Lurlie Annette Jackson, 71, of Chester, VA passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Willie Archer; and her loving husband of 48 years, Claiborne “Gene” E. Jackson, Sr. She is survived by her children, Claiborne “Clay” E. Jackson, Jr. (Tanya), Patricia “Patty” A. Long (Jeff); grandchildren, Steven Jackson, Tyler Jackson (Brooke), Heather Sweatte (Josh), Jennifer Sossoman (Berry) and Chris Long; great grandchildren, Jenna, Greyson, Aubrey, Emma and Brayden; sister, Arlene Briggs; brother, Honey Archer (Sue); sister in law, Shirley Jackson; and special friend, James “Buddy” Brown; numerous extended family and friends. Mrs. Jackson was a member of Matoaca Christian Fellowship and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 13, 2015 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Rd., Chester, VA 23831. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.
