Dendron
Mary Vonnell Turner Curl, 82, of Dendron passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2010. Born on September 22, 1927 in Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Robert Grady and Eula Mae Jones Turner. She was the widow of the late William Escue Curl. She was a member of Dendron Baptist Church and she loved to play Bingo.
She is survived by her children, Donnie Ray Curl and his wife, Donna of Seneca, SC and Patricia Curl Presson of Dendron; a sister, Eloise Taylor and her husband, Bill of Courtland; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Robert Escue Curl and James David Curl.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 11:00AM at the Dendron Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Rowland officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donation be made to the Surry Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 188, Surry, VA 23883. Arrangements are being handled by the Purviance Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wakefield. Condolences may be posted at www.jtmorriss.com .
