Mabel Wray Mizelle

Mabel Wray Mizelle, forever 39, of Petersburg, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Maurice Mizelle and her parents, Clarence and Helen Wray.

Mabel was a longtime member of First Christian Church in Petersburg, Virginia. Her family was of the utmost importance to her. She will be greatly missed and remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Mabel is survived by her son, Thomas P. Mizelle (Karen); daughter, Marsha Tedesco (Joseph); son, Mark Mizelle (Cindy); five grandchildren, Marisa Blalock (Kenneth), Shaun Mizelle, Christin Mizelle, Haley Mizelle, and Ian Mizelle; step-granddaughter, Candice Brown and her children Tyler and Kelsie Barnack; step-granddaughter, Christie Tedesco, step-grandson, Joseph A. Tedesco; and niece, Nancy Reyes (José).

A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Blandford Cemetery, 319 S. Crater Road. Arrangements are being handled by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
