Russell ?Mac? Edward MacClellan, 73, of Dinwiddie died Wednesday, August 31, 2005. He was the son of the late Francis Edwin and Alice Pederson MacClellan and was a retired Sergeant 1st Class in the United States Army after 22 years of service. He was loved by the community, especially children. Mac owned and operated Mr. Mac?s Ice Cream Truck for over 17 years. Mac is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Beverly G. MacClellan; a daughter, Julia A. MacClellan; a son, Eric L. MacClellan; two grandsons, Justin M. Jones and Jacob M. Leath all of Dinwiddie; a brother, Bobby MacClellan of California; sisters, Olga Dumars, and husband, Grover of Idaho and Elenora Malone of Massachusetts; cousin, Deloris Kapral of Chicago; a brother-in-law, Leonard G. Cross and wife, Susan of Minnesota; a sister-in-law, Carolyn A. Kemner of Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews and close friends, Amber Hawkins of Dinwiddie, Joe Brown of Dinwiddie and Searl and Peg Stover of Petersburg. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 4, 2005 from 6 to 8 pm at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held 10 am Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at St. John?s Episcopal Church with burial to follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
