Madison Nicole Mann (Maddie), 25, passed away unexpectedly on May 29, 2024. She was born against all odds and expectations, gracing the world with her joyous presence on February 6, 1999, in Chesterfield, Virginia, to her devoted parents, Michael and Jamie Mann.
Maddie loved life and people. Music made her light shine brighter, and she enjoyed attending concerts. She loved going to the movies. She liked bowling. She loved going on beach trips and sitting by the ocean. She excitedly loved playing pool (in her own way). She loved going to Target as a destination. She enjoyed her years playing Miracle League spring and fall baseball. She had an active life considering her physical limitations. She was known for her kind and giving heart. She loved volunteering and was the namesake of her very own Foundation, then fund to continue her heart for people. She made everyone better that came in contact with her. She was also known for her enormous smile and happy/sassy disposition. Maddie was the equivalent of human sunshine.
What is a warrior? She was a warrior. Maddie never complained in spite of her extremely difficult medical life. She was a fighter until the very end.
Let's rejoice in the wonderful memories made and the love she radiated in her 25 years of life. Madison is at peace and her body is now at rest.
Maddie is proceeded in death by her great-great-grandmother, Virginia Landers; her great-grandfather, Buddy Paxton; Grannie, Gladys Mann; Aunt "Jenniber," Jennifer Guard; and by her Nannie, Barbara Moore. She is survived by her loving parents, Michael and Jamie Mann; her grandparents, Brenda and Ted Driskill, and Paul Mann, Sr. and Valerie; her cousins, Austin Greene (Melanie), Jason Guard, Jr., and Kaylee Guard; and a multitude of extended family and friends, and friends who became family.
