Mae B. Joyner, age 76, died Monday, August 28, 2006. Born in Isle of Wight County, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. & Anna Cobb Braswell. She was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church and attended Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.. Mae had retired as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Obici Hospital in Suffolk.
She is survived by her husband Tom Joyner; a son, R. Emry Rhodes, Jr. (Nancy), of Richmond; a daughter Grace R. Royster (Danny), of Amelia; a brother, Charles M. Braswell of Windsor; a sister, Elizabeth A. Hobbs of Spring Grove; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, on Thursday, Aug 31, 2006 at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in Windsor Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 â?? 8:00 PM.
