Mae Rollins

Mae Belle Rollins, 59, of Chester, VA died Monday, January 5, 2009 in Retreat Hospital in Richmond, VA. Ms. Rollins was born in Hopewell, the only child of the late Jackson Jay (Capt. Jack) Rollins, Sr. and Alma Atkins Rollins. She was a former executive assistant for DeGussa Chemical Co. Ms. Rollins is survived by her beloved second cousins, James Lester Abbott, III and his wife Kris of Chester, VA, Laura Abbott Matthews and her husband Rick and their sons, Ricky Matthews, and Thomas Matthews, all of Hampton, VA, Steve Abbott, his wife Holly, and their daughter Brie all of Jasper, TN, first cousins, Frances Cofield Abbott of Newport News, VA, John Cofield, George Cofield, both of Isle of Wight County, Richard Cofield of Oldfield, West Virginia, three half sisters and two half brothers. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 8, 2009 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside service will be held Friday, January 9, 2009 at 11:00 AM in Central Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Isle of Wight County with the Rev. Bob Cofield officiating.
