Maggie Lou Allen

Maggie Lou Allen, 98, of Chester, VA passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2019. Born in Granville County, NC she was the daughter of the late Joseph Graham and Evie Perry Ray; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond A. Allen; and a son, Lee Alton Wright. Maggie had attended Bellwood Baptist Church in Chesterfield, VA. She had a deep love for the Lord and enjoyed reading her Bible. She like to spend time cooking, gardening and playing music. Mrs. Allen is survived by her six children, Joseph Wright, Mary Miles, Curtis Bill and husband Bob, Wayne Allen, Raymond Allen and wife, Sharon and Ella Curtis and husband, Bobby; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edna Ray. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Robert Rowland, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the funeral home.
