Major Temple

Major Benjamin Temple, 91, of Petersburg, passed away Friday April 22, 2011. He was the son of the late Lawrence D. and Louise Reeves Temple. Mr. Temple was a retired operator from Allied Chemical after 35 years of dedicated service, was a 30 year member of Woods United Methodist Church and was a lifetime farmer. He is survived by his sister; Edna T. Acree and her husband, Larry of Chester, brothers; Howard Temple of Disputanta, Wesley Temple and his wife, Susan of Hopewell, Jordan â??Jerryâ? Temple and his wife, Barbara of Chester, numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home Monday April 25, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A graveside service will be in Blandford Cemetery Tuesday April 26, 2011 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Joe Carson officiating.
