Mamie Hart Forbes, 90, a native of Littleton NC died Thursday April 19, 2007 at East Pavilion in Franklin, VA.. Born on December 5, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Arthur B. and Lina Sue Bryant Hart. She was the widow of Harry Lee Forbes and formerly worked for Knight & Bryant Insurance in Boykins 1935 â?? 1956. She was a member of the Boykins United Methodist Church and the Tarara Womenâ??s Club. She had worked as a patient assistant at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh NC from 1967 â?? 1981. She attended Blackstone College and was a member of the 1934 graduating class of Boykins High School, the first class in the new school.
She was predeceased by a sister Emelyn Hart Tillery, a brother-in-law, Hubert C. Tillery and a brother Robert Bryant Hart She is survived by nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday April 22, 2007 at 2:00 PM in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins by the Rev. Michael Baugham. Donations are suggested to Boykins United Methodist Church. Purviance Funeral Home Wakefield is handling arrangements.
