Marcell Kathryn Ferrell

Marcell Kathryn Ferrell, 78, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021. Born in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Earl W. Mounts and Hattie Mullins Mounts. She was also preceded in death by a son, Herman “June Bug” Ferrell, Jr.
Marcell served the church and the Lord faithfully. She was known to be a wonderful cook and had a contagious laugh. Most of all, she was the rock of the family, a true matriarch. She is loved and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Herman Ferrell; children, Campbell Ferrell, Jacqueline F. Eanes, Timothy Ferrell, and Rhonda F. Hood; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of siblings.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Southlawn Memorial Park.
