Marcus Lynnwood Miller, Sr.

Marcus Lynnwood Miller, Sr., 76, of Hopewell, VA, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2022. He was born in Buena Vista, VA, raised in Hopewell, VA; he was the son of the late James Henry Miller and Elsie Sheltman Miller. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Aycock Miller; his son, Marcus L. Miller, Jr. (wife, Stephanie), of Chesterfield, VA, and their 3 children: Ashley Granados (husband, Marvin), Chris Miller (wife, Katrina), and Zach Miller; his son, Michael C. Miller (wife, Kristy), of Chesterfield, VA, and their 2 children: Austin Miller (wife, Tori) and Makayla Miller; his daughter, Marcia Miller Belcher, of Carson, VA, and her child: Ethan Belcher; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Drain and Betty Hanser; and numerous nieces and nephews. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. He served in the Air Force for 3 year. He worked at Firestone plant in Hopewell for 35 years. In addition to his parents, Marcus was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Layne; his sister, Thelma Wilcher; his brother, James Miller; and his brother, Calvin Miller. The family will receive friends from 10am-11am on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 3512 Virginia Street, Hopewell, VA 23860. A funeral service will be conducted immediately following at 11am on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 3512 Virginia St., Hopewell, VA 23860.
