Margaret Burr

Margaret Nellie Burr, 80, of Chester, passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012. She was a devout Catholic and a longtime member of St. James Catholic Church. Mrs. Burr greatly enjoyed spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Beauford Eula Burr; and her parents, John Joseph and Margaret Reisdorph Williams. Mrs. Burr is survived by her daughters, Juanita M. Brooks and husband Keith, Teresa Currin and husband Richard, Jackie B. Beale and husband Randy, Paula M. Brown, Georgia A. Underwood and husband Cheyenne, and Rudy Elder and husband Mike; sons, John Burr and wife Shelia, Eddie W. Burr, Bill G. Burr and wife Dixie, and Mike A. Burr and fiancé Sandy McPeak; twenty-four grandchildren; and thirty-two great-grandchildren; numerous other family and friends; and a very special companion, Chubs Burr. A rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 23, 2012 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, with a visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. A Mass of the Christian Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at St. James Catholic Church, with Father Frank Wiggins officiating.
