Margaret Lynch Elliott

Margaret Lynch Elliott, 89, of Dinwiddie County, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Born in Halifax County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Annie Leslie Gulliland Lynch; and was also preceded in death by her husband, James Woodson Elliott, Sr.; a son, James Woodson Elliott, Jr. Mrs. Elliott was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church, Virgilina, VA, and more recently of Third Presbyterian, Petersburg, VA. She is survived by three daughters, Marjorie Carter (Leo), Judy Wicks (Ronnie), and Nancy Genga (Charles); son, Thomas Elliott, Sr.; loving daughter-in-law, Renee Elliott; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other extended family and friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Tyler’s Retreat for their help and care of Mrs. Margaret Elliott. The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 am on Friday, April 18, 2014 at Grace Baptist Church Cemetery, 1058 Buckshoal Rd. Virgilina, VA.
