Margaret Halupka

Margaret R. Halupka, 81, of Hopewell, died Sunday, January 3, 2010. She was born and raised in Chambersburg, PA, graduated from Chambersburg High School in 1945, attended Wilson College and graduated from Chambersburg Business College in 1947. Mrs. Halupka was predeceased by her husband, Clement, her parents, Herbert and Loretta Rodenhaver, a son, Clement, a sister Martha A. McQuillen and brother John W. Rodenhaver. Margaret married Clement A. Halupka in 1960, and was a devoted wife and homemaker. She is survived by a daughter, Frances K. Halupka, a daughter-in-law, Barbara H. Halupka, four grandchildren, and two great- grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Marcia Rodenhaver and her family, as well as her sister Marthaâ??s children. She was a loving aunt.
A prayer service will be held at St. James Catholic Church at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2010. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in St. James Catholic Church with Father Frank Wiggins as celebrant. Graveside service will follow at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hopewell Emergency Crew or St. James Catholic Church, 510 West Poythress Street.
