Margaret (Peggy) Ann Lobaugh, 87, died Monday, May 30, 2016 at Dunlop House, Colonial Heights, VA. She was born in 1928 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the only child of the late Mr. Forest G. Kunselman and Susan Alma Paterson Kunselman of Sligo, Pennsylvania. She spent her childhood in Sligo until she married in 1948 to Richard Reid Lobaugh of Callensburg, PA., who preceeded her in death. As the wife of an army soldier, she lived in many places during his service, including Hawaii, Kentucky, Maryland, Alaska, and Germany, finally settling in Petersburg, Virginia in 1964. Peggy worked in several positions at Fort Lee VA., retiring as a budget analysist from the Directorate of Combat Development, U. S. Army Quartermaster School in 1988. She was an active and faithful member of Second Presbyterian Church in Petersburg, VA. From 1965 until illness prevented her attendence. She is survived by her daughter, Susan J. Lobaugh of Petersburg, VA.; her son, Richard (Rick) G. Lobaugh (Gail) of Chesterfield County, VA.; and her daughter, Ann E. Hotz (David) of Chester,VA.; three grandsons, Richard Paul Lobaugh of Tennessee, Eric D. Hotz of Chester, VA., and Steven K. Hotz (Elyse) of Chesterfield County, VA.; three great grandsons, Travis A. Lobaugh, Joseph T. Lobaugh and Hunter R. Lobaugh of Amelia, VA. Our family thanks the many staff members of Dunlop House for their care and affection given to our mother during the years of her living in the assisted care and the dementia neighborhood.
