Margaret Marek

Margaret Fenderson Marek, 94, died on Thursday, December 10, 2009. She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace G. and Emma Marie Fenderson; husband, George Roosevelt Marek and 8 siblings. She was a member of Smithâ??s Grove United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon M. Melson and husband, Orvin of Hampton, VA; grandson, Dr. Mark R. Melson and his wife, Martha of Nashville, TN; great grandchildren, Jackson Melson and Julia Margaret Melson and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & son Funeral Home on Sunday, December 13, 2009 from 2 to 3:30 pm. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, December 14, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will be private. The family wants to thank the staff of Colonial Heights Health Care Center for all of their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Smithâ??s Grove United Methodist Church.
