Margaret Mary Riordan

Riordan, Margaret Mary, 80 – Passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Vincent Paul Riordan Jr. of 58 years, and her brother-in-law Philip S. Riordan. She is survived by her sister Ellen O’Malley, sister-in-law Joan Belanger and her husband John; brother-in-law Michael Riordan and his wife Mary, and sister-in-law Marie Riordan. She is also survived by daughter Joan Ellen Robinson and her husband Greg; grandsons Cameron and Chad; daughter Margaret Ann Stevens; grandson Joshua and granddaughter Megan, and son Vincent Paul Riordan III and his wife Mea; granddaughter Colleen and grandson Vincent Paul IV, and many nephews, nieces, and great-grandchildren. Margaret was born 1938 in Manhattan, NY, the oldest daughter of William F. Hines and Margaret R. (Flynn) Hines, and moved in 1948 from her childhood home in New Jersey to Massachusetts, where she later met and married Vincent at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Worcester. She moved to Arlington, VA in 1957 where she served 33 years with the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency as an imagery analyst, foreign liaison officer, and technical intelligence collection task manager. Peggy loved gardening and enjoyed knitting with her many knitting club friends, was an active church member, loved her family and serving the Lord. A wake will be held Sunday, July 29, from 2 until 4 p.m. at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Road, Chester, VA 23831. The funeral service will be held at St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, 4400 Beulah Rd., North Chesterfield, VA 23237 on Monday, July 30 at 10 a.m. Burial service will be held at Virginia Veteran’s Cemetery (Amelia), 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia, VA 23002 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Margaret’s name to the St. Augustine’s Catholic Church Roof Fund at the address above.
