Margaret Hesse “Jill” Rudy of Chester, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, November 23, 2012, while surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Oliver D. “Skitch” Rudy; her mother, Minerva C. Hesse; father, John G. Hesse, Sr.; sister, Helen “Betsy” Monroe; sister-in-law, Rosemary Rudy Kilhoffer; and brother-in-law, Dick Monroe. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Richard Andrew Rudy; daughter, Lynn Rudy Garner and husband, Gary; brother, John G. Hesse, Jr. and wife, Katja; grandchildren, Katie Gardner and husband, Andy, Elizabeth Whorley and husband, Brent; great-grandchildren, Grant Gardner and Eli Whorley; brothers-in-law, Jerry Rudy and wife, Julia and Carl Kilhoffer; nieces, Kathleen Hesse, Jamison Monroe, Kathleen Canales, Ashely Williams, Sarah Linck; and nephews, Matt Marthinson, Dawson Kilhoffer and Tim Wilson. Jill loved her church and supported the children’s music ministry with her late husband Skitch. She and Skitch raised many dogs over the years, but at the end of their lives a Norfolk Terrier named Buckley became a very special part of their family. Many of Jill’s favorite family memories were spent at Virginia Beach in the 84th Street home that had once been owned by her mother. Jill loved and was devoted to her family. Her important legacy is she was loved by many people who were touched by her special spirit. She will be missed more that words can express. A celebration of Jill’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Chester Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
