Margie Gupton Boyd

Margie Gupton Boyd, 92, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Colonel B. and Mary Elizabeth Gupton; her husband, Ernest H. “Dick” Boyd; and 2 brothers, Morton and John Gupton. Margie was a woman of great faith, a mother to all and loved by everyone who knew her. She is survived by 2 daughters, Carolyn B. Sharpe and husband, David, and Shirley B. Wright; 4 grandchildren, Jonathan W. Sharpe, Matthew D. Sharpe and wife, Alexis, Joey W. Cimburke and wife, Christin, and Jennifer M. Gallagher and husband, David; and 6 great-grandchildren, Harrison Sharpe, Haleigh Reid, Will Cimburke, Colton Gallagher, Rosalie Gallagher and Myla Sharpe. A funeral service will be held at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.
