Margie Smith Burkholder

Margie Smith Burkholder, 86, of Chester, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014. Mrs. Burkholder was a member of Chester United Methodist Church, a member of the American Legion Post #284 Women’s Auxiliary, and a member of the Covington Moose Lodge #610. She was the daughter of the late, Ernest L. and Grace McCallister Smith. Mrs. Burkholder is also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Burkholder; a daughter, Jane Renea Burkholder Jernigan; and her brother, Lawrence Smith. She is survived by her son-in-law, Joseph Michael Jernigan; grandchildren, Aaron Gray Jernigan, Ashley Jernigan Lewis, and Adam Michael Jernigan; great-grandchildren, Aaron Wesley Jernigan and Thomas G. Lewis; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Park.
