Margie Reason

Margie Whisenant Reason, 65, went to be in the arms of Jesus on Saturday, September 3, 2011. Margie managed the Uppyâ??s Convenience Store on South Crater Road. She worked extremely hard all of her life. She was devoted to her daughters and grandchildren. In her spare time, she loved working on puzzles. She was funny and sassy and would definitely tell it like it is. Born in Burke County, NC, she was the daughter of the late George and Reldy Whisenant. Along with her parents she was also preceded by her siblings, Russ Whisenant, Conley Whisenant, Bessie Copeland, George Whisenant, Levi Whisenant, and Marshall Whisenant. She is survived by her daughters, Penny Goad and husband, Tim and Karen Reason; step-children, Robin Reason-Hanna, and Ronnie Reason; grandchildren, Kristin and Dustin Reason; siblings, Sue Archer, Bob Whisenant, Ralph Whisenant, and Bill Whisenant and 31 nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Wakefield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, September 9, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Ivor Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
