Marian Hughes

Marian Thomas Hughes 85 of Hopewell passed away on Saturday March 10, 2012. She is the daughter of the late Ferriel H. Thomas and Edith Binford Ezell. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Frank Hughes Jr.; son, Charlie Frank Hughes III; grandson, Michael Allen Hughes; brothers, Charles Thomas, Ferriel Thomas Jr.; sisters, Virginia Johnson, Mary Frances â??Yankâ? Ezell, Alice Mize, Dorothy Smiragla; sons in law, David Taylor, and Bob Gorkiewicz.Mrs. Hughes retired from the State Department of Agriculture after numerous years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.She is survived by her son, Glenn Hughes; daughters, Judy Gorkiewicz, Cindy Taylor, Kim Aultman and her husband David; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Jenerette, Barbara Jean Martin, Ruby Baird; beloved niece, Katherine â??Katâ? Bryan and other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
