Marian Buyalos Walker, 75, of Hopewell, died Sunday, September 27, 2009 at her residence. Marian was born in Hopewell and had been a life long resident. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and was a retired instructural assistant in special education for Chesterfield County Public Schools. Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Michael A. and Marion Werbenec Buyalos, two brothers, James F. Buyalos, Joseph Wayne Buyalos and her first husband, Lawrence T. Hancock. She is survived by her husband, Aaron E. â??Floogieâ? Walker, a daughter, Sheila Hancock Miller and her husband Steve, all of Hopewell, five sons, Geary S. Hancock and his wife, Eileen of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Scott T. Hancock and his wife Ginger of Ridgefield, WA, Brian D. Hancock, of Gloucester, VA, Barry M. Hancock and his wife, Tammy of Prince George, VA, Lance A. Hancock and his wife Sarah of Chester, VA, eleven grandchildren, Theresa and Tracy Hancock; Chelsea and Hannah Miller; Sarah and Conner Hancock, Sophie and Willem Hancock; Adam, Rachel, and Mary, two sisters, Catherine B. Oliver and her husband Richard of Richmond, VA, Margaret B. Bates and her husband Ron of Corbett, OR, two brothers, Edward J. Buyalos and his wife Anne, and Michael A. Buyalos, Jr. and his wife Carolyn, all of Chester and many nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be said on Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 7:00 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with visitation to follow until 8:30 PM. A Mass of the Christian Resurrection will be held Friday, October 2, 2009 at 10:00 AM in St. James Catholic Church.
